Affiliation: Fearmonger
*The subject did not exhibit any signs of expression verbally. With cooperation from its companions, testing was done. With limits, of course. After this, we present our conclusion. Keep in mind it is only our best guess, and limited to the sample size provided to the subject.
Genre of Choice: Jazz, Noise, Shoegaze Favorite Song: Favorite Album: Favorite Group: My Bloody Valentine Favorite Musician: Miles Davis Favorite Artist: Van Gogh
Notes: The results for a favorite song was inconclusive, but the one listed was based on Ronin’s input, saying there was always a melody Fawbaus hummed, with gurgles and noises in the way of it. “Even then, he’s not tone deaf. I’m not sure why he doesn’t talk, but I get the feeling he thinks I understand him best, so I’ll try harder to get to know Fawbaus better.” Ronin adds. When asked why he described Fawbaus as a “he”, Ronin simply stated “He’s human, I feel that at least, somewhere deep in there he has to be. Besides, it’s not my interview, maybe that’s a more crucial thing to be asking than these unimportant shenanigans you’re conducting.” But wait, if he thinks Fawbaus is human, why choose it as a partner? Fearmongers don’t permit humans to be part of their organization, do they? “Ronin!” Ah, he already left. I’ll ask him later.
Observations:
Assuming the subject would take pleasure to louder, heavier, and incomprehensible music (due to previous responses to noise and shoegaze), we played metal genres to see if those would respond better. This did not go well, as… strong distaste was shown, to say the least.
Miles Davis’s music was an interesting case here, as his trumpet playing was the only thing that didn’t cause excitement, rather invoking a neutral calm state. Not like a lullaby, not something to drift away to, just something that made it pause and listen intently. The other Fearmongers took note of this, and are now using it as a technique to calm down rage states. Jazz music is now playing throughout their hideout, much to the dismay of Stasia.
While showcasing My Bloody Valentine to the subject, the tapes included some later interviews with the bands guitarist, Kevin Shields. Though not a musical observation, some interest was displayed towards his guitar collection as he talked about how pedal combinations made certain sounds. Pretty much everyone else found it absurd the amount of guitars he owned for individual tunings, though. Zero intrigue was shown towards the organization his setup, only the chaos of it. | “What a mess, I hope he at least had a consistent schedule.” Said Stasia. “If you don’t mix up consistency with frequency, then you surely wouldn’t mind 22 years between two albums.” Astra responds. “Yeah, uhm, perfectionism is okay sometimes. Procrastination too!… But it better have been worth the wait.” “That it was.”
As for the art, we tried to get a large sample size, but it proved unnecessary, as anything that wasn’t by Van Gogh was tossed aside. After observing multiple of his paintings, we wanted to see if there was a pattern. Was it scenery? Portraits? Certain colors? No. Well, partially true with the last one. Fawbaus was mostly interested in the paintings with pigments containing toxic chemicals in higher concentrations. Outdated and no longer used, but providing some vibrant hues for its time. The paintings were well preserved, so we had no choice but to take them away in order to keep them safe. Something which seemed to sadden Fawbaus a bit. Upon learning this, the Fearmongers agreed to keep him away from lead paint at all costs, though none was around, they sensed something chaotic would occur if given access to it. Not much discussion needed to happen for this to be approved, as it was a unanimous agreement.
